BioI was introduced to "fanfiction" through my obsession with Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series. I'm a Team Edward gal (Why do we all love those dark, brooding types so darn much?).
I'm married to my own Mr. Darcy, a man who will debate ethics, morality, and literature with me. He's seen all the versions of Pride and Prejudice so many times and never once complained! We have debated the Elizabeth/Darcy attraction to death. It's great fun. Nothing like that "simultaneous intellectual climax" (credit to "PassionFish" (fanfiction.net) by qjmom and admittedly obsessed).
I love reading the classics, contemplating the appeal of brooding Byronic heroes, analyzing thought-provoking literature, watching entertaining movies, listening to jazz and adult alternative music, reading poetry, and cooking. I'm a die-hard Romantic. I believe in 'happily ever after'. I enjoy well-written or thought-out creations that in some way, shape, or form encapsulate the innate essence of man. I enjoy smart, witty humor. I've always enjoyed learning about history, preferably through the stories of the real people who lived in the time periods. I'm a big science fiction fan--most recently an avid watcher of the new incarnation of Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi). I also enjoy watching The Tudors (Showtime) and Mad Men (AMC). I have recently started watching True Blood (HBO). Sunday nights seem to be a superb night to watch television.
I love that as humans we are all flawed and all similar on some level. What fascinating creatures we are to analyze. One of these days, when I can get out from under the crush of my demanding job, I am going to write something. In the meantime, I'll just keep reading everything I can get my hands on.
